Source: PANews
PANews reported on September 17 that according to the Financial Times, the United States and the United Kingdom plan to cooperate more closely in cryptocurrency regulation. British Chancellor Rachel Reeves and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed the cooperation during a meeting on Tuesday. Representatives from Bank of America, Barclays, Circle, Citigroup, Coinbase and Ripple were also present. Cassie Craddock, managing director of Ripple UK and Europe, said the cooperation "is expected to set an example of international cooperation for our industry. The UK is now ready to go and is expected to become a leading digital asset and innovation center. Strengthening international cooperation between the UK and the United States will further unleash the economic potential of blockchain technology in both countries." Last week, industry groups urged the UK government to include stablecoins and tokenization in the "US-UK Technology Bridge" program.
