Tennis Luxury Arms Race: US Open spends $800 million to create a fan experience

The U.S. Open is underway for a $800 million renovation to enhance the fan and player experience at Arthur Ashe Court, including adding 2,000 sideline seats, an expansion of luxury rooms and a 40% expansion of promenade. The $250 million Player Performance Center will support 2,800 athletes. The phased project is expected to be completed in 2027 and aims to keep the event competitive against the backdrop of growing investment in professional tennis infrastructure.
