BGB upgraded to Morph public chain tokens, destroying 220 million pieces at one time

Odaily Planet Daily News Bitget announced an exclusive strategic cooperation with consumer-grade public chain Morph to accelerate the on-chain application and ecological expansion of BGB. BGB will be upgraded to Gas tokens and governance tokens for the Morph ecosystem. At the same time, it continues to play a role in partner ecosystems such as exchanges and wallets, including participating in core functions such as Launchpool and handling fee discounts. According to this cooperation, all BGB tokens governed by the Bitget team were transferred to the Morph Foundation, with a total of 440 million pieces, of which 220 million pieces will be destroyed in one go, and the remaining 220 million pieces will be locked and unlocked at a rate of 2% per month, for liquidity incentives, usage scenario expansion, science popularization and education, etc. In addition, the Morph Foundation will update the BGB destruction mechanism and link it to Morph chain activity until the total supply of BGB drops to 100 million. As part of the cooperation, Bitget and Bitget Wallet will adopt Morph as the payment infrastructure and PayFi settlement layer, and will assist it in introducing more stablecoin issuers and global payment solution providers and other ecological partners. At the same time, this also means that 120 million users in the Bitget ecosystem will be integrated into the decentralized ecosystem built by Morph and jointly promote ecological development and construction.
