Coinbase asks U.S. Department of Justice to take steps to block state law enforcement cases

According to Coinbase, Coinbase urged the U.S. Department of Justice to intervene in state-level cryptocurrency enforcement, saying the federal government should take precedence over state laws. Previously, Oregon and other states filed unregistered securities lawsuits against Coinbase, and the company has applied to federal court for trial. Coinbase argues that Congress should issue priority clauses that clarify that federally regulated digital assets are exempt from state laws.
