Golden Finance reported that Dutch lithography machine manufacturer ASML.O announced that it would invest 1.3 billion euros in French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI as part of its strategic cooperation. According to a statement released on Tuesday, Asmay will become Mistral's largest shareholder with an 11% stake. The investment is part of Mistral's 1.7 billion euro financing round, valuing it at about 11.7 billion euros, making it one of the most valuable private companies in Europe. This alliance provides support from Europe's largest and most influential technology companies to the only European company with the strength to challenge AI giants such as OpenAI. However, Asmay CEO Christophe Fouquet said the main purpose of the deal is to integrate AI into the company. He noted that investment and collaboration will enable companies to integrate Mistral's generative AI services in their devices and operations. (Jin Shi)
