US SEC: Crypto Working Group to hold a roundtable to discuss financial surveillance and privacy

Source: ChainCatcher
According to ChainCatcher, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Crypto Task Force (led by Commissioner Hester Peirce) will hold an open roundtable in Washington on October 17 on "Financial Monitoring and Privacy"; this is the sixth game on digital assets since former chairman Gary Gensler left office. The SEC said the meeting will discuss introducing specific exemptions and safe ports for crypto asset offers and sales, and plans to adjust the securities firm's financial liability rules to reduce the burden of compliance in the United States. Last week, the SEC and CFTC also said they would explore coordinated regulation of the 24/7 trading session with spot crypto trading.
