Source: CoinWorld
El Salvador purchased 21 bitcoins to mark the fourth anniversary of its Bitcoin fiat currency law, bringing its total holdings to 631.318 bitcoins worth $701 million. Although the IMF's loan terms require a cessation of voluntary increase, the El Salvador government continues to purchase on a daily basis. The International Monetary Fund estimates that El Salvador has purchased $300 million since 2021, of which unrealized revenue exceeds $400 million, but limited disclosures have hindered independent assessments.
