Vitalik: The Ethereum team performed well, developers proposed the smallest zkVM for streamlining Ethereum

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted on the X platform that the Ethereum team has performed very well this year and has contributed in all aspects to ensure Ethereum’s long-term scalability, decentralization and resilience, and all of these ideas are expected to be ready to be implemented while the short-term expansion roadmap achieves its key milestones. According to a retweet by Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum developers have proposed a minimum zkVM "leanVM" suitable for streamlining Ethereum, and have been optimized for XMSS aggregation and recursion. Compared with Cairo, leanVM minimizes the promised cost with four-instruction ISA, multi-linear STARK and logup lookup.
