According to ChainCatcher, the Hong Kong SAR government has commissioned banks to prepare for a potential digital bond issuance. If this issuance is promoted, it will be the third time that Hong Kong has issued digital bonds. The Hong Kong SAR government successfully issued HK$800 million tokenized green bonds under the Government Green Bond Program in 2023. It is the first tokenized green bonds issued by the government in the world.
