Arkham: The 45,000 BTC that the German government failed to investigate may still be controlled by the Movie2K operators

According to BlockBeats, on September 6, Arkham posted on social media that the agency has identified $5 billion in Bitcoin that the German government has failed to investigate. Earlier, German police seized 49,858 bitcoins from the operator of the film and television pirated website Movie2K in early 2024 and sold them at an average price of $57,900 in July 2024, making a profit of $2.89 billion. But the Arkham investigation found another Bitcoin cluster associated with Movie2K's early activity, with a total of about 45,000 (current value of $4.99 billion), which have not been transferred since 2019 and are distributed in more than 100 Bitcoin wallets, and are likely still controlled by Movie2K operators, and are nearly as large as the number of Bitcoins seized. The German government's statement did not mention the additional bitcoin, nor did it be included in the original "emergency sale" plan.
