According to Golden Finance, Variant Fund chief legal officer Jake Chervinsky said that despite the recent emergence of L1 networks controlled by enterprises, decentralized public chains are still the regulatory standard for product development. Chervinsky noted on social media platform X that from a regulatory perspective, the new L1 built by many companies for specific product reasons are "unnecessary" and "no help". He stressed that there are currently no U.S. regulators requiring licensing a set of validators or built-in compliance tools, and Congress has not seriously considered such legislation.
