According to Caixin.com, Song Shijie, the off-market funding boss who owed 22 million yuan in fines and confiscations, handed over nearly 200 million yuan in assets to the UK and the United States for confiscation of settlement funds. The National Crime Investigation Agency has announced the confiscation of funds from Song Shijie's luxury home in Westminster, six apartments in Henton and its British bank accounts, worth a total of £16.7 million (about 161 million yuan). The National Crime Investigation Agency said the assets are derived from Song Shijie's unlicensed securities transactions in China and money laundering activities in the UK. It is reported that Song Shijie was involved in a cryptocurrency "pig killing" scam, and the victim's funds laundered money through accounts related to him. According to a document from the Orlando Court in Florida, the United States at the end of March, Song Shijie avoided criminal charges by giving up his claims on Binance account funds. The three Binance accounts frozen by the court have cryptocurrencies worth about $10 million (equivalent to approximately RMB 71.43 million).
