According to ChainCatcher, HSBC issued a report saying that it once again raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 index from 6,400 points to 6,500 points after early August. HSBC said the second quarter saw strong corporate performance momentum, especially technology and financial stocks, with companies showing that the impact of tariffs was moderate. In addition, HSBC expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates in September, with a total rate cut of 0.75% by 2026. HSBC also raised its earnings per share growth forecast for this year, from 9% to 12%.
