Odaily Planet Daily News HSBC issued a report saying that after early August, it once again raised its S&P 500 index's year-end target from 6,400 points to 6,500 points, and raised its target twice in less than a month, mainly driven by corporate profit margin expectations in the second quarter. HSBC said that the performance of the company was strong in the second quarter, especially technology and financial stocks, with companies showing that the impact of tariffs was moderate. In addition, HSBC expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates in September, expecting a total of 0.75% by 2026, and the market generally expects to fall by more than 1.25%. HSBC also raised its forecast for the index's earnings per share this year, from 9% to 12%, and the market average is expected to rise by 11%. As the forecast for the earnings per share growth is raised, the target for the index's end of the year will be raised, with the best still maintaining 7,000 points and the bearest is 5,700 points.
