Ripple is promoting stablecoin RLUSD to institutional users in Africa

PANews September 4th news, according to CoinDesk, digital asset company Ripple is promoting its US dollar-backed stablecoin RLUSD to institutional users in Africa by establishing new partnerships with distributors such as Chipper Cash, VALR and Yellow Card. Meanwhile, Mercy Corps Ventures is testing RLUSD in Kenya’s climate risk insurance plan. In one trial, stablecoin funds were automatically issued when satellite data showed drought. Another pilot project supports rainfall insurance, and extreme weather events will trigger compensation.
