French regulators fine Google a record 325 million euros

Huobi HTX reported that on Wednesday, French data protection agencies fined US search giant Google (GOOG.O) a record 325 million euros (about $380 million) for the company's failure to comply with relevant Internet cookie regulations. Regulators said Google was fined for "displaying ads between Gmail users' emails without the user's consent and placing cookies without the user's valid consent when the user creates a Google account."
