Anthropic's latest valuation rose to $183 billion, and FTX's 7.84% stake has exceeded $14 billion

Odaily Planet Daily News: Artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced this morning that it has completed a new round of financing of $13 billion for $183 billion. Anthropic completed a $580 million Series B in April 2022, when FTX invested a total of $500 million, accounting for about 7.84% of the shares. Then in mid-2024, FTX's liquidation team sold the shares at a low price of $1.4 billion. Based on today's valuation, the total value of this shareholding has reached approximately US$14.347 billion. When the bankruptcy was filed for bankruptcy in November 2022, the funding gap of FTX was about US$9 billion. If this part of the shares were not sold, it would be enough to cover the funding gap at the time of bankruptcy.
