World Gold Council plans to launch digital gold to change the $900 billion market

According to Shenchao TechFlow, the World Gold Council is seeking to launch a digital form of gold that could change London's $900 billion physical gold market. CEO David Tait said this will make it possible for the first time that gold is delivered digitally. Although gold is regarded as a safe-haven asset because of its physical nature, Tait believes that digitalization can expand market coverage. He stressed that the goal is to establish a standardized digital layer for gold and let global asset managers re-examine gold.
