Citi survey: Custody institutions will become the core force in tokenization of traditional financial assets

Huobi HTX reported that Citi Securities Service released its latest white paper. Based on a survey of 537 market participants, respondents expect that about 10% of transaction volume will be tokenized by 2030, and custodians are seen as the key force in promoting tokenization. The survey pointed out that 63% of institutions expect to use multiple blockchains simultaneously by 2030 and believe that custodians can achieve cross-chain connections. However, this preference may change in the future. Citi's annual survey shows that market perceptions of digital asset classes are changing significantly, with respondents last year saying that almost 60% of the fastest growing digital assets by 2030 are tokenized private/alternative assets and cryptocurrencies.
