Security Agency: Venus Protocol users lose $27 million in phishing attacks

PANews September 2nd news, according to Cyvers Alerts, Venus Protocol's core pool Comptroller on the BNB chain was updated to a malicious contract address, resulting in the transfer of approximately US$27 million in assets (including vUSDC, vETH, etc.). The stolen funds are still in the attacker's contract and have not been redeemed yet. Cyvers Alerts then deleted the tweet.
PeckShieldAlert said that a Venus Protocol user granted to the attacker's address (0x7fd8…202a) for approving malicious transactions, resulting in the stolen crypto assets of about $27 million.
Cyvers subsequently corrected that a Venus Protocol user on BNB Chain granted token permissions due to mistakenly approving malicious transactions, resulting in a loss of $27 million in digital assets. The stolen funds are still in the attacker's contract and have not been redeemed yet.
