Source: ChainCatcher
According to ChainCatcher, the Ethereum EIP-7702 protocol has become a new target for hackers, causing losses of more than 5.3 million US dollars. According to GoPlus Security Research Institute analysis, attackers commit theft through signature phishing, malicious escalation, and abuse of permissions. As the first platform to pay attention to the security threats of this protocol, GoPlus has received help from multiple stolen users and has completed several in-depth security studies. To protect the security of Web3 user funds, GoPlus announced that the transaction simulation API has fully supported 7702 security detection, which can accurately intercept various malicious transactions based on EIP-7702. The safe browser plug-in will also launch related protection functions in the near future. GoPlus recommends users: update security knowledge in a timely manner and improve security awareness; use GoPlus security tools to arm themselves in a timely manner to prevent losses.
