Anchorage Digital Apply for Fed Main Deposit Account

According to Foresight News, crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett said Anchorage Digital has applied for a Fed main deposit account. Previously in June, Nathan McCauley, co-founder and CEO of Anchorage Digital, declined to respond to whether to apply for the account. The main deposit account allows the bank to settle transactions directly with the central bank and hold balances. If Anchorage Digital acquires the account, it could become the first crypto bank to hold assets other than digital currency.
