Grayscale has submitted revised S-1 documents to convert its Dogecoin Trust into ETF and plans to list on Arca on the NYSE under the code GDOG, with Coinbase serving as the principal broker and custodian. Earlier, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had approved a simplified cryptocurrency ETF standard, while New York Stock Exchange Arca also proposed to revise Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust ETF under new general listing rules. Grayscale argues that GDOG should not be regulated by the Investment Companies Act, noting that Dogecoin futures trading is currently conducted on exchanges regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The updated documents were signed by Chairman Barry Silbert and Chief Financial Officer Edward McGee.
