White House cron Bannon suggests Becente takes charge of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve

In the interview, Bannon suggested that current Treasury Secretary Becente serve as chairman of the Federal Reserve, while retaining the position of Treasury Secretary. Bannon said: "I firmly believe that in the transitional stage, Becente should serve as both the Federal Reserve Chairman and Treasury Secretary. Maybe he can last until the midterm elections, then step down from the Treasury Department and take over the Federal Reserve in full." Bannon once served as the White House chief strategist during Trump's first term, but was dismissed after only seven months of his tenure.
