According to BlockBeats, on September 19, online trading platform IG Group acquired a majority stake in Australian cryptocurrency trading platform Independent Reserve for AU$109.6 million (US$72.4 million), according to Coindesk. It is reported that IG will acquire 70% of the company's shares first and have the right to acquire the remaining 30% of the shares based on future performance. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in early 2026, with a total value of AUD 178 million (USD 117.6 million).
