Sky Community has launched a vote on a proposal to “collect late fees for MKR upgrade to SKY”

According to Coinjie.com, Sky (formerly MakerDAO) announced on the X platform that the voting for the proposal to impose a delayed upgrade fine for upgrading MKR to SKY has been launched. As part of the ongoing MKR upgrade to SKY process, Sky Atlas made it clear that the execution vote to be held on September 18, 2025 will set a 1% delayed upgrade fine for the new MKR-to-SKY conversion contract. If votes pass, all MKR to SKY upgrades will be fined 1% late upgrades from September 22, 2025. Thereafter, the delayed escalation fine will gradually increase by 1% every three months.
