According to ChainCatcher, Christine Kim, former vice president of research at Galaxy Digital, posted a statement on the X platform that Ethereum developer conference call ACDC#165 has made an important decision. The developer confirmed the public testnet schedule and Fusaka's BPO hard fork schedule. Among them, the Fusaka main network upgrade is scheduled to be Epoch411392 on December 3 this year. It is reported that the Fusaka upgrade is the next major hard fork after the Pectra upgrade in May 2025. It focuses on the scalability, efficiency and resilience of the network. It is a core part of the Ethereum "Surge" stage. It aims to reduce the cost of Layer2 (L2) rollup by optimizing data availability and validator responsibilities and improve overall throughput. According to some preliminary analysis of Fusaka Devnet-5, the blob capacity should more than double within two weeks after Fusaka starts.
