According to BlockBeats, on September 19, former vice president of research at Galaxy Digital, Christine Kim posted on the X platform that today's Ethereum developer conference call ACDC #165 made an important decision. The developer confirmed the Public Test Network timeline and Fusaka’s BPO hard fork schedule. Among them, the Fusaka main network upgrade is scheduled to be Epoch 411392 on December 3 this year. It is reported that the Fusaka upgrade is the next major hard fork after the Pectra upgrade in May 2025. It focuses on the scalability, efficiency and resilience of the network. It is a core part of the Ethereum "Surge" stage. It aims to reduce the cost of Layer 2 (L2) rollup and improve overall throughput by optimizing data availability and validator responsibilities. According to some preliminary analysis of Fusaka Devnet-5, blob capacity should more than double within two weeks after Fusaka starts.
