The 10-year Treasury yield spread between India and the United States is close to the widest level this year, and there is potential for reversal.
India's sovereign rating upgrade last month strengthened bond attractiveness. The Fed cut interest rates on Wednesday and suggested further easing of policy could make bonds more attractive in other countries. Foreign investments purchased Indian bonds that qualify for inclusion in the index reached 10,400 crore in August, the highest level since March.
