PANews September 19th news, according to CoinDesk, NBA player Tristan Thompson is joining forces with Improbable CEO Herman Narula and co-founder Hadi Teherany to create a new Web3 experience project to bring new viewing experience to basketball fans in the digital era. The project is called basketball.fun, which will be launched before the NBA season in October, gamifying the interaction between fans, players and games. It is based on the Layer1 blockchain Somnia development launched earlier this month. Unlike traditional fantasy sports or fan tokens, the platform tokenizes NBA players, and player value fluctuates in real time with fans' emotions and performance. Fans can form a lineup, predict new stars and receive rewards. Teherany stressed that the app does not issue native tokens, unlike projects that rely on token prices, player values will reflect fan sentiment and match results.
