Plasma mainnet launches, US$2 billion deployment to improve stablecoin liquidity

The Plasma Mainnet Beta version was released on September 25, 2025, and has deployed $2 billion in stablecoin liquidity on more than 100 DeFi platforms including Aave and Ethena. This release makes Plasma the eighth-ranked blockchain for stablecoin liquidity, with 25 million XPL tokens used to reward users and 2.5 million allocated to affiliate members. XPL's price soared 236.24% in 90 days to $0.64, with a full dilution market value of $6.39 billion. Founder Paul Fax stressed that he focused on a market with limited access to the U.S. dollar to simplify the storage and transfer of digital dollars.
