Warren and other U.S. senators question whether Binance fulfills the 2023 compliance agreement

PANews reported on September 18 that according to Bloomberg, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and others wrote to the Department of Justice, demanding confirmation that crypto exchange Binance complies with the anti-money laundering and sanctions illegal settlement agreement reached with the United States in 2023. The letter pointed out that the Ministry of Justice had only confirmed that Binance had paid all the fines, but did not specify whether it fulfilled its ongoing compliance obligations. Members are also concerned about the Justice Department's consideration of removing compliance supervisors and Binance's ties to related businesses in the Trump family.
