According to The Block, the Beta version of the Layer 1 stablecoin payment project Plasma mainnet, supported by Bitfinex, will be launched on September 25, and the network's native token XPL will also be launched with the Layer 1 blockchain. By then Plasma will have a total lock-in value of more than $2 billion and integrate more than 100 DeFi protocols, including Aave, Ethena, Fluid and Euler. From the date of publication, users will be able to transfer USDT at zero fees over the PlasmaBFT consensus on the network through authorization-based transfers. Previously, Plasma received a $373 million oversubscription commitment in July's 10-day token sale.
