AI security firm Irregular raised $80 million in a round of financing led by Sequoia Capital and Red Dot Ventures, and Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport was also involved, with the company valuation reaching $450 million. The company, formerly known as Pattern Labs, focuses on detecting emerging AI risks by simulated environments (AI acts as both an attacker and a defender). Its SOLVE framework is widely used to evaluate model vulnerabilities, and its results are cited in the security assessment of Claude 3.7 Sonnet and OpenAI models. Co-founder Dan Lahav highlights the increasingly severe security challenges posed by human-computer interaction and AI interaction.
