According to ChainCatcher, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points in September. Most of the Trump-appointed officials supported the move, with only the new director Milan opposed it and recommended a 50 basis point cut. Federal Reserve Chairman Powell said at a press conference that the rate cut was a risk management decision and believed that there was no need to adjust interest rates quickly.
