Vitalik Buterin announces the latest roadmap for Ethereum, increasing the main network Gas limit and maintaining decentralization

According to Wu, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin announced the latest roadmap at the Japan Developer Conference. In the short term, the Gas limit of Ethereum mainnet (L1) will be increased to achieve capacity expansion and maintain decentralization, involving tools including ZK-EVM and Block-level access lists. The medium-term goal focuses on trustless asset transfers and rapid settlements between L2, promoting Stage 2 Rollup and state read optimization. At the same time, it emphasizes the importance of "write privacy" on the chain, which is suitable for payment, voting and other scenarios. The long-term goal is to create a streamlined version of Ethereum that is safe, concise, quantum-resistant, formal verification.
