Wormhole releases W token 2.0 upgrade, revenue contribution will be used for W reserves

Odaily Planet Daily News Wormhole announced the W Token 2.0 upgrade plan, introducing three core changes: setting up a Wormhole Reserve strategic reserve pool, providing a target base rate of return of 4% and optimizing the token unlocking mechanism from annual to biweekly unlocking. Wormhole 2.0 redefined the earnings. W holders who continue to contribute to governance will soon start to gain more stable returns. While the rewards of staking are variable, holders can receive higher rewards by becoming active users of ecosystem applications. The revenue will come from a combination of existing token supply and agreement revenue. W will not introduce inflation. In terms of unlocking, starting from October 3, 2025, the unlocking frequency of W will be changed from a large fluctuation every year to a biweekly, making it more stable and predictable. The new plan will be implemented from October 3 to enhance ecosystem value accumulation and token market stability. It is worth noting that the total supply of W tokens remains unchanged by 10 billion coins, and the current circulation is about 4.76 billion coins.
