Solana leads the issuance of crypto tokens, with 85,000,000 registered assets

With 85 million tokens, Solana is leading the way in mainstream crypto networks, accounting for 85% of the total tokens issued by platforms such as Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum and Base (total 100 million). Its dominance is due to low fees, high transaction speeds and the recent meme coin boom. In August 2025 alone, Solana processed 2.9 billion transactions, which is comparable to Ethereum’s total since 2015. The upcoming Alpenglow upgrade is designed to increase Solana by 80 times and reduce finalization time to less than 150 milliseconds.
