According to ChainCatcher, according to Fortune magazine, the revised indictment filed by class action law firm Greenbaum Olbrantz on Tuesday showed that Ashita Mishra, a core suspect in Coinbase data breach and former employee of TaskUs outsourcing company, has stored more than 10,000 sensitive information from customers in her mobile phone. Since September 2024, it has systematically stole confidential data such as customer social security numbers, bank accounts, etc., and sold it to hacker organizations at US$200 per screenshot. Mishra and her accomplices formed a "precision conspiracy network" in India, taking 200 screenshots of customer accounts every day, affecting 69,000 users. Hackers used this to defraud users of cryptocurrency, with a maximum loss of US$400 million. TaskUs recently accused Coinbase internal employees of being involved in the leak, but there is no specific evidence. A Coinbase spokesman said it has terminated its cooperation with TaskUs, strengthened supervision and paid full compensation to users, and previously set up a $20 million bounty fund to track down criminals. TaskUs said it continued to strengthen security protocols and training and did not comment on the indictment.
