BNB Chain Wallet browser extension will be officially discontinued on October 15

PANews September 17th news, BNB Chain announced on X platform that the BNB Chain Wallet (BEW) browser extension will be officially discontinued on October 15, 2025. This means that the BEW will be removed from the extension store on that day. User funds are still safe. Existing users may still have access to BEW, but the risks are entirely at their own risk. For a smooth transition, BEW users should perform the following actions: 1. Secure backup of seed phrases/private keys; 2. Save the recovery information and uninstall the BEW; 3. Select a new wallet for future use; users who have already installed BEW may still be able to access it.
