Huobi HTX reported that U.S. Treasury Secretary Becent defended a special personnel arrangement that allowed Milan to temporarily leave his post in the White House while serving as Fed. Becent explained: "If he does not choose to leave (White House position) but resign directly, the White House position will remain vacant; and when he leaves the Federal Reserve in January or February next year, he will have to pass the Senate confirmation before returning to the White House. I think the signal sent by this move is clear: the plan is to return to the White House Economic Advisory Committee (in the future) and serve as chairman." Milan once said at the Senate nomination hearing that he will leave the White House temporarily and join the Federal Reserve on unpaid leave, but did not specify the length of his tenure in the Federal Reserve.
