Odaily Planet Daily News Israel's National Counter-Terrorism Financing Agency (NBCTF) recently released a list of 187 encrypted addresses, saying that these addresses are related to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Blockchain analysis firm Elliptic pointed out that these addresses have received approximately $1.5 billion in USDT, but some wallets may belong to exchanges or shared services and cannot be fully confirmed and are directly associated with IRGC. Tether has frozen 39 of these addresses, preventing about $1.5 million from transferring funds. IRGC has been accused of using crypto assets to evade sanctions on many occasions in recent years. The U.S. Department of Justice seized an Iranian national last week about $600,000 USDT, accusing it of developing a drone navigation system for the IRGC. In June this year, the pro-Israeli hacker group Predator Sparrows stole $90 million from Iranian exchange Nobitex and destroyed funds, which was also accused of colluding with the IRGC. (CoinDesk)
