Brazilian coffee production fears rise again, coffee trading prices approach historical highs

Arabica coffee futures prices soared to $4.21 per pound, close to an all-time high in February amid concerns that the La Niña phenomenon could prolong the drought in Brazil and threaten coffee crops. Coffee prices have risen 50% since August due to dry weather in Brazil, U.S. tariffs on South American coffee and a decline in stocks.
