Ethereum Foundation launches Fusaka upgrades security audit competition

Source: ChainCatcher
According to ChainCatcher, according to The Block, the Ethereum Foundation launched the Fusaka upgrade security audit competition with a prize of up to $2 million. The four-week audit, hosted by the Sherlock platform and co-organized by Gnosis and Lido, aims to identify potential vulnerabilities before going online. The Fusaka upgrade includes about 12 EIPs, focusing mainly on security, throughput and efficiency improvements. "Node Data Availability Sampling" will disperse data inspections between nodes and expand Rollups capacity. The competition has a reward multiplication mechanism: 2 times in the first week and 1.5 times in the second week. The upgrade is targeted to be deployed to the mainnet in the fourth quarter of 2025, but the foundation executive director Tomasz Stańczak said the timeline could be delayed if coordination is not tight enough.
