Tesla faces investigations on U.S. Automotive Safety Agency over door handle issues

U.S. auto safety regulators are investigating Tesla because some of its Model Y models have defects in door handles that may cause passengers to get trapped inside the vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a preliminary assessment of electronic door handles that may be powered off and failed, which will affect some 2021 Model Y models.
