Argentina President Javier Milei has proposed a 2025 budget with the goal of achieving a fiscal balance, with 85% of which goes to education, health care and pensions. The plan predicts that by 2026, GDP growth will reach 5%, fiscal surplus will reach 1.5% of GDP and inflation will drop to 10.1%. However, Milei faces legislative challenges in the October vote due to recent increased opposition forces and public protests against austerity measures.
