According to Cointelegraph, Fidelity predicts that about 42% of Bitcoin supply will become non-current by 2032, about 8.3 million BTC. Fidelity notes that long-term holders and publicly traded companies holding at least 1,000 BTC are the main contributors. Long-term holders are defined as wallets that have not moved Bitcoin for at least seven years, and supply has not decreased since 2016. Public companies hold more than 969,000 BTC, accounting for 4.61% of the total supply. Fidelity estimates that by the end of 2025, the two groups will hold more than 6 million Bitcoins, accounting for 28% of the total supply. Bitcoin whales collectively sold nearly $12.7 billion worth of BTC in the past 30 days, resulting in a 2% drop in prices, the report noted.
