Huobi HTX reported that according to Cointelegraph, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will cooperate with Exponential Science Foundation, a nonprofit advocacy group for blockchain and artificial intelligence, to launch the "Governmental Blockchain Academy" next year.
The college will provide government departments with professional education and implementation programs for blockchain, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to help governments drive change. Focus will be on leveraging blockchain technology to address pressing development challenges, including creating trusted verifiable digital vouchers, improving financial services and digital payments, tracking and accounting of public procurement processes, tamper-proof record keeping to combat corruption, and the use of tokens and smart contracts for climate financing.
The college plans to launch in some countries in 2026, and the curriculum design work will begin this year.
