According to BlockBeats, on September 16, according to Cointelegraph, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will launch the "Government Blockchain Academy" next year in partnership with Exponential Science Foundation, a non-profit advocacy organization for blockchain and artificial intelligence. The college will provide government departments with professional education and implementation programs for blockchain, artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to help governments drive change. Focus will be on leveraging blockchain technology to address pressing development challenges, including creating trusted verifiable digital vouchers, improving financial services and digital payments, tracking and accounting of public procurement processes, tamper-proof record keeping to combat corruption, and the use of tokens and smart contracts for climate financing. The college plans to launch in some countries in 2026, and curriculum design will begin this year.
