Investors are investing unprecedented funds into ETFs, with U.S. funds absorbing more than $825 billion in net inflows so far this year, which is expected to surpass the 2024 record of $1.1 trillion. Stock ETFs led the way with a net inflow of $475 billion, reflecting strong stock demand amid economic uncertainty. In the first half of 2025 alone, net inflows of ETFs reached $543 billion, the strongest first half of history; while last month it increased by $120 billion, mainly concentrated in the stock and bond sectors. Analysts pointed out that this accelerated inflow rate predicts a trillion-dollar record for ETFs for several consecutive years, and ETFs are favored for their low fees and market exposure.
